Shell International Exploration & Production Inc. has established a software development Center of Expertise together with Bluware Inc. since 2005. This CoE has been responsible for developing proprietary upstream EP applications for Shell. Bluware is responsible for recruiting, training, and managing software development staff who work collaboratively with Shell's domain staff and project managers. The CoE provides Shell with a dedicated software development center that is cost effective and efficient at the same time. Due to the complexity of our software and workflows, we need a close collaboration between domain and IT staff. The CoE meets our requirements and has been a key contributor to our internal R&D and technology delivery for the past 4 years.
